中国五矿集团成立75周年之际，其骨干子企业五矿二十三冶作为央地重组典范，自2006年加入集团以来，顺应国家战略与集团改革路径拓展业务，当前正迈向“十五五”新征程，助力中国五矿打造具有全球竞争力的世界一流金属矿产企业集团。
五矿二十三冶前身可追溯至1953年的中南工程公司（湖南建安行业首家国企）与1963年的湖南冶金井巷工程公司，两者均服务国家工业建设，参与瑶岗仙钨矿、黄沙坪铅锌矿等重大项目，获全国五一劳动奖状等荣誉。1979年组建冶金部第二十三冶金建设公司，成为冶金建设“国家队”，奠定产业报国初心。
“十四五”期间，五矿二十三冶深耕矿业核心业务，构建一体化服务体系并转型“建设+运营”，尾矿库建设为行业标杆，海外选矿项目支撑当地资源开发..电解铝项目。
