新疆维吾尔自治区成立70周年之际，中国冶金地质总局（冶金地质）深耕边疆地质勘查领域，以找矿突破筑牢资源根基，推动援疆工作全面升级。自20世纪90年代开启在疆找矿征程以来，冶金地质累计探获大中型矿床35处，提交铁矿9.06亿吨、锰矿3000余万吨、金120余吨、银2150吨、铜105万吨、铅锌201万吨，为新疆发展注入硬核动力。今年以来，其提前部署123个地质援疆重点项目，年度经费4.83亿元，在南疆获最富锰矿床，北疆建成哈巴河等金矿基地，西天山建成金铜多金属基地。
